Nodau ac Amcanion
Ein nod yw anelu bod:
*pob disgybl yn cael cyfle i ddatblygu fel unigolion uchelgeisiol, chwilfrydig sydd yn awyddus i herio eu hunain er mwyn gwella ac yn dyfalbarhau wrth wynebu anawsterau.
*pwyslais ar ddatblygu deallusrwydd emosiynol y plant er mwyn iddyn nhw arddangos hunan dosturi, hunan ymwybyddiaeth, hunan hyder, empathi, cwrteisi a charedigrwydd tuag at eraill.
* plant yn cael eu hannog i chwarae rôl flaenllaw a gweithredol ym mywyd yr ysgol a’r gymuned leol
*pawb yn magu balchder yn yr iaith Gymraeg, ein diwylliant lleol a chenedlaethol
*pob plentyn yn ddwyieithog ac yn hyderus wrth fynegi barn, cyflwyno gwybodaeth a pherfformio.
*pob disgybl yn datblygu i fod yn oedolyn cyfrifol yn eu cymunedau ac yn datblygu’n ddinasyddion byd eang sydd yn parchu safbwyntiau eraill a’r amgylchedd.
*y plant yn deall pwysigrwydd cadw’n iach yn gorfforol ac yn feddyliol a’r hyn gallwn wneud i edrych ar ôl ein hunain.
*pob plentyn yn gallu cyd-weithio’n effeithiol gydag eraill boed ar y maes chwarae, yn yr ystafell ddosbarth neu allan yn y gymuned.
*pob plentyn yn cael cyfleoedd i ddysgu sut i gadw’n ddiogel ym mywyd pob dydd gan gynnwys cadw’n ddiogel ar lein.
Addysgu, dysgu a phrofiadau – Sut fyddwn yn sicrhau’r nodau a’r amcanion yma?
*Byddwn yn creu awyrgylch ac amgylchedd hapus, cartrefol a gofalgar sydd yn pwysleisio canmoliaeth fel yr arf i ysgogi’r dysgu.
*Byddwn yn cynnig ystod o brofiadau a chyfleoedd cyfoethog.
* Byddwn yn cynllunio cwricwlwm sbardunol sydd gyda ffocws ar yr adral leol, Cymru a’r byd yng nghyd-destun y gorffennol, y presennol a’r dyfodol.
*Byddwn yn rhoi cyfleoedd i’r plant ddysgu sgiliau eang ac amrywiol cyn eu cymhwyso’n annibynnol mewn cyd-destunau trawsgwricwlaidd.
*Byddwn yn manteisio ar gyfleoedd i ddysgu yn yr awyr agored.
*Byddwn yn sicrhau bod y disgybl yn ganolog i’r broses o ddysgu a bod cyfraniad pob unigolyn yn cael ei barchu.
*Byddwn yn rhoi cyfleoedd i’r plant fod yn rhan o’r broses o wybod ble maen nhw yn eu dysgu ac eu bod yn deall yr hyn sydd angen iddyn nhw wneud i wella.
*Byddwn yn meithrin cysylltiadau cryf gyda’r gymuned.
Aims and Objectives
Our aim is that:
* all pupils have the opportunity to develop as ambitious, inquisitive individuals who are eager to challenge themselves in order to improve and persevere when faced with challenges.
* children develop their emotional intelligence so that they display self compassion, self awareness and self confidence and that they are empathetic, courteous and kind towards others.
* all children are encouraged to play a leading and active role in the life of the school and the local community.
* everyone takes pride in the Welsh language, our local culture and national culture.
* all children are bilingual and confident in expressing opinions, presenting information and performing.
* all pupils develop into responsible adults in their communities and become global citizens who respect the views of others and the environment.
* the children understand the importance of keeping physically and mentally healthy and what they can do to look after ourselves.
* all children are able to co-operate effectively with others whether on the playground, in the classroom and out in the community.
* all children have opportunities to learn how to stay safe in everyday life including keeping safe online.
Teaching, learning and experiences – How will we achieve these aims and objectives?
* We will create a happy, homely and caring atmosphere and environment that emphasises praise as the tool to stimulate learning.
* We will offer a range of rich experiences and opportunities.
* We will design a stimulating curriculum focused on the local area, Wales and the world in the context of past, present and future.
* We will provide children with opportunities to learn broad and varied skills before applying them independently in cross-curricular contexts.
* We will take advantage of opportunities to learn outdoors.
* We will ensure that the pupil is central to the learning process and that the contribution of each individual is respected.
* We will provide opportunities for children to be involved in knowing where they are in their learning and that they understand what they need to do to improve.
* We will build strong links with the community.
